* Specialized plans – These plans provide only partial coverage or coverage for a particular situation or illness. For instance, major medical insurance will only pay your medical bills if you have a major medical problem such as a heart attack or stroke. Specified disease plans pay your medical expenses for specific diseases like AIDS or cancer. Hospital confinement plans pay your hospital costs only. These plans are usually the cheapest plans.
