In Illinois, I am employed by a company requiring health insurance as a condition of employment. To opt out of company insurance program, I must present proof of purchase of another provider.
Further more, no equitable compensation for those who do opt out.
Looks like we have 2 interests working here, that of the Health provider and that of the employer. The Health provider should not be able to dictate employment policy to its customers. However to meet the interests of the Health provider and their requirements, the employer may need to change it’s employment conditions, which amounts to the same thing, how can that be legal? Wage compensation is controlled by the Health provider? I agree everyone would want to have health coverage, thats not the issue here. Regulations for employers AND Insurers who provide an avenue of income for Health insurers is. Also, being dictated to by my Employer who can and cannot insure me seems to be a bit oppressive.
Everyone must go to the communist central party health company? Shoot, just take my whole check and determine how much food to eat, what is appropriate clothing, and how far from work I can reside. IF you dont take our insurance , you will be fired seems a bit extreme.

Their dad and I already have insurance elsewhere that works for us, but it’s too expensive to add the children (we work for small companies), so we want to buy separate health insurance for them. Can one do that, or does there always have to be a parent on the insurance plan?

I currently purchase health insurance for myself and four other. How many more should I have to cover to make sure Im doing the right thing. Would ten more be enough? Twenty? One hundred?
Families with more than 1 or 2 kids should have to pay a penalty? What is it 1 or 2? How about the fact that the more kids a family has the more taxes they pay already? Taxes on food, gas, clothing, etc. I guess that doesn’t count though, huh?

I have cheap health insurance that has a $4,000 deductible. I want to see a doctor. Can I open a new policy with a different company that has a low deductible, go to the doctor, and then cancel the new policy? I will save a lot of money if I do this.
I don’t want to cancel my original policy. I just want a temporary better policy so I will avoid the deductible.

I live in VA, and I’m disabled, and I currently receive SSI, and medicade. Of course the money from SSI isn’t enough to really live off, I was wanting to maybe work but I’m worried about not being able to get health insurance. I have to take medication, and I must use certain medical supplies which equal over $1,000 not including doctor visits. So I ask, would employer in VA, offer me insurance?

Most health insurance agencies requrie that you have health insurance for a minimum of 3 months before you become pregnant. Are there options other then welfare, for those who become pregnant without prior heath insurance?
